What is girlingo?
A game that teaches conversation. There are 87 lessons across 15 chapters on what to say and when, five written characters you can text who answer like people and lose interest like people, and Wingman, which reads a screenshot of a real conversation and tells you what she actually said.
What can I do without paying?
The first lesson, and Selfie Check, which is free for everybody and always will be. You can also open a conversation with any of the five, read what she sent and type a reply. Wingman gives you three reads a week.
What does girlingo Pro include?
Every lesson, all 87 of them. Sending messages to any of the five, as long and as often as you like. And Wingman with no weekly limit. Prices are shown on the upgrade screen inside the app, in your own currency.
Are the five characters real people?
No. All five are written characters, and the app says so. Nothing you type reaches another person, and nothing is posted anywhere.
Does my selfie leave my phone?
No. Selfie Check measures the photograph on your device using Apple's on-device Vision framework and then discards it. It is never uploaded and never written to disk. It does not rate attractiveness, does not guess your age, gender or ethnicity, and builds no face template of any kind. Only the numeric scores and the written coaching are kept, on your phone.
What does Wingman send to a server?
The screenshot you give it, and only when you give it one. The image is read and then discarded; it is not stored and not used to train anything. The only other thing girlingo sends anywhere is what it takes to know whether you have paid, which goes to RevenueCat. Both are described in full in the Privacy Policy.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. On your device open Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions, choose girlingo, and change or cancel there. Cancelling stops future renewals and you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for. The lifetime option is a one-time purchase, so there is nothing to cancel.
How do I restore a purchase?
Open the upgrade screen in the app and tap Restore purchases, or find it in Profile → the gear → Restore purchases. Use the same Apple Account you bought with.
How do I delete everything?
Profile → the gear → Start over erases your progress immediately and permanently, including any profile photo. Deleting the app removes it too. Because we hold nothing about you on a server, there is nothing left on our end to delete.
