1. What girlingo is
girlingo is a practice and education app about conversation, confidence and dating. It is entertainment and general education.
It is not professional advice. It is not therapy, counselling, medical advice, legal advice or a substitute for any of them. If you are struggling with your mental health, please speak to a professional or a support line rather than an app.
The people you practise with are fictional. They are written characters and generated text. They are not real people, they are not profiles of real people, and nothing they say is a fact about anyone.
girlingo does not tell you how anyone actually feels. It describes patterns and what is measurable in front of you. Anything it says about another person is an observation about a message or a photograph, not knowledge about a human being.
2. Who can use it
You must be 17 or older.
3. Your account
There isn't one. girlingo has no sign-in, no password and no profile on any server. Your progress lives on your device. If you delete the app, or use Profile → Start over, it is gone and we cannot restore it, because we never had a copy.
4. Screenshots and other people
Wingman reads conversations you give it. Those conversations contain other people's words.
You agree that:
- you will only upload conversations you are genuinely a party to
- you will not upload anyone's private messages in order to expose, harass, humiliate or track them
- you are responsible for having the right to share what you upload
You keep ownership of anything you put into girlingo. You give us only the permission needed to process it and give you the read back — nothing more. We do not use your conversations to train anything and we do not keep them.
5. Fair use
Please do not:
- use girlingo to harass, deceive, stalk, coerce or manipulate anyone
- attempt to use it to produce sexual content involving minors, threats, or anything unlawful — the app refuses this and attempts may end your access
- reverse-engineer, decompile or resell the app, or scrape its content
- present girlingo's output as professional advice to somebody else
6. Paying for Pro
girlingo is free to try. The first lesson is free to everybody; Pro opens the rest of the curriculum, the rest of the cast, removes the daily limits and makes Wingman unlimited. Anything you have already finished stays finished, and your progress, XP and streak are yours whether or not you are paying.
Pro is sold through the App Store, either as an auto-renewing subscription or as a single one-off payment. The price and length of each option are shown in the app before you buy, and payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation.
If you buy a subscription:
- it renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending
- you can manage or cancel it in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device, or through the link in girlingo's own settings
- deleting the app does not cancel a subscription
If you buy the one-off:
- you pay once and it does not renew
- there is nothing to cancel, and nothing will be charged again
- it is tied to your Apple Account, so Restore on the offer screen brings it back on a new device or after reinstalling
Refunds are handled by Apple under their terms, not by us.
7. Availability
We may change, suspend or discontinue features. We will not knowingly break a subscription you have paid for without providing a refund route through Apple.
8. No warranty
girlingo is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that its reads are correct, or that using it will produce any particular outcome in your life. Conversations with other people are not predictable and this app does not make them so.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for anything arising out of how you acted on something girlingo said. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always in the app, with the date at the top. Continuing to use girlingo after a change means you accept it.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
12. Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for girlingo. Apple has no obligation to provide support for it. If girlingo fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price where applicable; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
